Vincent Bielen was born in Hasselt in 1988. In 2011 he obtained his dental degree magna cum laude from the KULeuven. Being thrilled by esthetic and prosthetic dentistry, Vincent then engaged in a three year specialty program in restorative dentistry at the same university and obtained magna cum laude his Master after Master degree in 2014. Vincent is engaged as supervisor and instructor in the Master after Master specialty program at the university. He’s been involved in research about the adhesion to zirconium restorations in the BIOMAT lab of the KULeuven under the supervision of Prof Bart Van Meerbeek. He presented the results of his work , which have also been published in the ‘Journal of Dentistry’, at the IADR ( International Association of Dental Research ) meeting in Dubrovnik in 2014. Recently Vincent got awarded with the first price in the Benelux Ceram. X Case- Contest 2014 for the best esthetic composite treatment.
